17 year-old Chloe Marshall of Surrey England is stirring up quite the controversy for winning the title of Miss Surrey. At 5’10", Chloe Marshall weighs in at 178 pounds and wears a size 16. Many people are outraged and saying her win is promoting an unhealthy lifestyle. Because of her win in the Miss Surrey pageant, she is now eligible to compete in the Miss England pageant.
One columnist and former Miss England judge was quoted as saying,
"Who does she think she’s kidding?"
"What she’s demonstrating isn’t bravery but a shocking lack of self-control," she wrote. "Instead of flaunting her figure, Chloe ought to own up to the truth. She is fat and she got that way by over-eating."
