Got a call from the repair place... Thank goodness I had the warranty because the hard drive is fried 
. They have ordered a replacement and it should be in within a week or so. BUT... no data can be recovered..

... Now... I had most of my really important stuff backed up but Not ALL of my Pix, and Mom didn't have much of hers backed up at all. It's almost a complete loss. Yikes and Boo Hoo.
What Makes a Hard Drive crash? Was it something I did? I load alot of movies. Could that do it? The Laptop is only one year old.
